Lakshmanan has extensive experience in Information Technology (IT) services and Business Process Management (BPM) sector including Solution Design, Delivery Management, Pre-sales, Program/Project Management, Software Development/ Maintenance, and Architecture definition.
Lakshmanan has over 20 years of progressive experience across roles in Infosys group. In his role as Solution Design Head, he established a Greenfield setup of Automation practice in Infosys BPM Limited and program managed org-wide productivity improvement\automation initiative. Currently, Lakshmanan is a Senior Delivery Manager heading Delivery in Technology Solutions Group in Infosys BPM.
Lakshmanan hold a Ph.D. in Information Systems with a specialization in Open Source Software (OSS) adoption. Authored journal articles related to OSS, adoption and related issues. The purpose of these papers are to identify the influence of outsourcing on open source software (OSS) adoption and further investigate the factors that impact the adoption of OSS in global Information Technology (IT) outsourcing organizations. Developed a conceptual model that describes the factors influencing the adoption by using the technology-organization-environment framework.
